Alsapan has initiated:

● As early as the 1980s, the use of biomass boilers in its factories
● In 2010, the installation of solar panels on the roof of its factories
● Since 2013, the use of panels from sustainably managed forests – PEFC and FSC certified
● In 2015, 1st Greenhouse Gas Emission Assessment (BEGES). The objective is to control our carbon impact or even better to reduce the carbon impact of our products.

Since 2015, the beginning of our ISO 50001 certification process for the Erstein site has organized our energy sobriety policy, which was transformed in 2020 into a more global approach.

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is a voluntary contribution by companies to the challenges of sustainable development in their activities and in their interactions with their stakeholders: employees, customers and suppliers. It is based on three pillars: societal, economic and environmental.

The CSR approach has come to structure Alsapan’s approach, which was empirical until now. SCOPE-3

In 2020, the sharing of the DREAM project with all Alsapan employees launched the formalization of an environmental approach. Since then, employees, customers and partners have been invited to pool their ideas in order to move from an ambitious dream to a reality on 4 axes of work: Material waste – Resources – Energy – Minimization of greenhouse gases.

2030 goal:
● zero landfill
● zero ordinary industrial waste (OIW)
All Alsapan waste must be recovered!
